10 Ways to Make Your Eyes Look Bigger

Eyes are
such an important part of the human face structure. Our eyes allow us to see
and been seen. Here are 10 great tips to help make your eyes appear bigger!
- Using
a pressed powder two or three shades darker than your natural skin tone, shade
your natural eye contour, this will make your eyes appear larger without using
tons of make up
- After
applying your mascara use liquid eyeliner to fill in the gaps between your eyelashes,
this will help elongate the line of your eyes.
- Fill
in bare spots on your brows, make them look thick and full along the arch. This
trick is good when you aren’t planning on wearing full make up.
- False
eyelashes are the best trick for making your eyes pop. Use a 100% Mink lash,
for natural looking, effortless beauty.
- For
longer looking lashes, focus your mascara on the tips, let them dry for a few
seconds, then coat the whole lash, starting from the base of your lash line.
- Concentrate
color at the middle of the lash line, to create a more doe-eyed look.
- Cooler
tones, like blue, will make the whites of your eyes appear brighter and
healthier.
- Curl
your eyelashes! Start at the root of your last, curl and pulse the eyelash
curler a few times, next move the curler half way up the length of your
eyelashes and repeat. This trick will leave you with a more natural look
instead of the ‘crimp lash’ look.
- Lighter
eye shadow on your lids draws attention to your eyes!
- Try
cream eye shadows. They are a good staple for the colder dryer months, because
they don’t crease as much as powders.

(Photo Credit: GLAM) If you look on the internet for tips on applying false eyelashes, there is a plethora of posts teaching you how to properly put on false lashes. Me, I was looking for tips on how to remove them, and there is not much advice on that. How are you supposed to remove these glued down beauties?! I was afraid I was going to rip out the few natural lashes I still have! Believe it or not, there is a right way to take them off, and doing it the wrong way, WILL rip out your natural lashes, and no one wants that! So here are a few tips to safely remove your false lashes- -You should always start removing your eye make-up. Use a cotton ball with a little makeup remover on it. Run along lid lines and under brows. -Dip a Qtip in the lash glue remover, run along lash line. Let sit for about 30 seconds, this gives the adhesive time to soften up, which will make the removal process easier. -Starting on the outer edge, lift the lashes. If they are being stubborn, use more lash remover. -Do not rip or scratch at the false lashes, this will agitate them and make it harder to get them off. Pull them off slowly, starting from the outer edge. -Once the lashes are off, use run a cotton ball with eyelash remover on it, over your lids, this will help remove the left over adhesive. -Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, focusing on the area around your eyes. That’s all! That makes me feel better. I can wear my false lashes without feeling as though I am putting my real lashes in danger!

One of the things I’ve
really enjoyed about wearing these lashes is that each is different enough from
the other that I can really change up
my look when I want to. It’s great to have a variety of lashes for any
occasion! Another reason? 100% reusable! (Note: Please reuse them only on
yourself.) I’ve used and reused the same pair of lashes several times! You can
continue until they look damaged (unless you like that look!) or until they
fall apart. That’s one of the greatest parts of them being a natural product.
Now, I know a lot of you don’t
really know much about lashes (though I’m sure we have some experts here too!)
and so I decided to look at and use each lash to give you a good run down on
looks. I only did 5 so bear with me now! I’m just going to tell you a few ways
to wear your favorite lashes.
The
Countdown
Barely There:
Everyone wants to wake up
looking beautiful. Most wake up with bag under their eyes and their confidence
under the bed. I know I have days where I want to go out looking nearly 100%
natural but still want to look awake enough to not hear “You look tired today.”
Mink Out Loud is the perfect solution for this. If I feel like letting the boys
know I'm great without makeup, I'll slap these beauties on so I look less tired
while still looking great!
Doe Eyed:
Need a soft makeup look?
Sometimes when I'm not in the mood to do my own makeup or but don’t really want
a natural look to me, I'll slap on some The Lash Word or Pretty in Mink to
complete off the look. You can do little to no eye shadow or liner and still
have big glamorous eyes. This look will really make your eyes pop!
Diva of The Night:
You're doing your eyes dark
and big for a night out at the club. You have the perfect colors, you just need
a touch of glitter when-OOPS! You dropped your entire container of glitter all
over the floor! How will you complete this club look without something to catch
the lights? Quick fix! Toss on a pair of Lash Forward (or if you're daring
maybe Lash Vegas instead!) That nonexistent glitter won't even be noticed
thanks to the sparkle in your lash line.

The Doll:
Barbie theme? No? Doll
theme? No? Want to just have big beautiful doll eyes? Yes! Soft pink cheeks and
lips with porcelain skin is a good start. But something isn't feeling
right....Ah! The eyes. No doll is complete without their big eyes. Try Lash
Friday Night on your top AND lower lashes to make your eyes really pop! You
will definitely have the look of a doll when you're done applying them!
Elongated Eyes:
Bright red lips, soft cheek,
and a thick cat eye liner. You're starting to feel a flashback into the 50s but
you can't quite make it all out yet. Lash Friday Night will top off the
dramatic liner and really elongate those eyes for you! Perfect for a 50s night
out. Flashback complete!

So there they are! 5 easy
ways to wear those new lashes! Don’t forget when applying them that you need to
let whatever glue you have purchased to “set” for a moment. It needs to be a
bit tacky or the lashes will just slide right off your eyes!
